I have a rig at home, but when I travel I like to hop in and hang out in the auction house. With the release of Legion, new graphics settings and levels are available. Logging in for the first time on my MBP was pretty scary because the graphics were so bad. I thought this was just how it was going to be from now on. No matter what level of graphics (There are 10 now) I moved to, things still didn’t look so good.
I found the one thing that mattered most: Render Scale.
- Head to System > Advanced > Render Scale and put Render Scale at 100%
- Change the graphics quality at System > Graphics to a number where you don’t lose FPS. Mine is good at 4.
By default, it will put your render scale at 50%. This is really bad. Here’s what it looks like at 50%:
Change it to 100% and you’ll get this. Notice the clarity of the nameplates:
