Break a traceroute in a Cisco switch or router

So you began a traceroute on your Cisco switch or router with Cisco IOS and you need to break out of it because you’re just getting *   *   *   *   * over and over? Here’s the command:

CTRL + SHIFT + 6

Repeatedly hitting 6 normally helps, if not with the switch than with your impatience. It gives you something to do.
