Chrome: Microsoft Silverlight doesn’t work even after installing plugin

You know the plugin is installed correctly, and there are no pop-ups being blocked, but for some reason you're still being told to install MS Silverlight when you try to run an app. That's because Chrome is now disabling NPAPI by default. Chrome doesn’t open after switching to Windows 8 Mode

If you're having trouble getting chrome to open, you're not alone. You probably went to settings > Relaunch Chrome in Windows 8 Mode and now when you click on your Chrome icons they aren't opening chrome. Here's how to revert back to regular mode for Chrome so you can start browsing again. Chrome: Disable the “your connection is not private” page

As an admin, you've got lots of devices that you log into using IP addresses and other pages that you access such as https://localhost. It gets annoying when you have to see "your connection is not private" a few times a day and then choosing to proceed anyway.
